Reader, Short and sweet today… and re-inspired by Tricia Hersey This is your reminder that rest is decolonial practice. That your tiredness is not a personal failure. That needing to pause doesn’t make you less committed to the work—it makes you human. And if you’re a therapist, healer, or space-holder who’s feeling the weight of holding so much? Rest. Not when it’s convenient. Not after the inbox is cleared. Not when you’ve “earned it.” Now. Because rest is how we:
When we rest, we slow down enough to ask: What am I really moving toward? Who benefits when I keep pushing through? What does sustainability look like for me—and my community? So if you needed a sign, here it is: Close your laptop. Put your hand on your heart. Breathe. And let your rest be a refusal, a remembrance, a role model. We’re not just building new ways of healing—we’re embodying them. 🔸 Reflection Prompts for Email or Journaling
